You can enjoy the beaches in Lanzarote all year round thanks to the superb climate with an average temperature of twenty degrees.
From stunning white sand beaches to spectacular volcanic beaches, here are our recommendations for the best places to enjoy the sunshine.
Famara
Certainly, one of the most famous beaches on the island – and with good reason – is the beach at Famara. More than five kilometres of unspoilt beach situated by the fishing village of Caleta de Famara, with a breathtaking mountain backdrop framing the astonishingly wild nature of the area.
Papagayo
Situated to the south of the island, ten minutes away from the Hipotels Natura Palace hotel is the most popular beach in Lanzarote, famous for its soft sands and calm, crystalline waters. This is the ideal place to come with the family, sheltered by the surrounding cliffs and with views of Fuerteventura.
Playa de las Conchas
Wandering or cycling around Graciosa takes you to another world. Visiting Playa de las Conchas, a sandy beach surrounded by nature in the north of the island, is a way to unwind and enjoy one of the least populated places in the Canary Islands.
Puerto del Carmen
Hipotels La Geria hotel is located in one of the most famous tourist resorts in Lanzarote with every service and facility on hand. A coastline with eight kilometres of beach in a privileged position, sheltered from the wind. Serene waters and fine sand, choose between the three most popular beaches in the area: Playa de los Pocillos, Playa Grande or Playa Chica.
Piscinas de Punta Mujeres
A spectacular collection of natural pools that the whole family will enjoy. In the fishing village of Punta Mujeres, with whitewashed houses and unique architecture, you will discover this delightful place where you can make a splash in the natural pools, surrounded by rocky, volcanic scenery.
Caletón Blanco
As its name indicates, Caletón Blanco boasts tranquil, clear waters with fine sand and is framed by the unique scenery of the nature of Lanzarote. Ideal for families and children, the shallow waters are a pretty turquoise shade.
